PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS

BIODEGRADABLE:
Wherever there is microbial activity such as landfills, commercial and home compost environments, ocean, swamps, ponds, etc.  Materials degrade between 270-1500 days depending on conditions.

COMPOSTABLE:
Materials become compost in commercial and home environments.
Time frame is approx 180 days in commercial facilities.

RECYCLABLE:
Materials are totally recyclable.  Good Earth materials can be mixed with traditional materials without contaminating recycling stream.


PERFORMANCE:

Performance, processing, and physical characteristics are the same as non degradable materials.

Materials are not affected by heat or light.  No special storage or shelf life requirements are needed since products do not prematurely degrade.

Materials are not temperature sensitive.

Materials are FDA and USDA approved for food contact.

Certain materials are micro-wavable and or freezeable.

High clarity clear, tints and opaque, and dual color co-extrusions are available depending on exact material.

Gauges available: 12 mil- 50 mil.

Certain materials available with recycled content.

High barrier and anti-static versions available with certain resins.

No supply issues.

Price is competitive with traditional packaging.
